Tips for Beginners When Using CBD Products

Cannabidiol (or CBD) has rapidly become a popular therapeutic ingredient, with a range of health benefits. CBD, also known as cannabinoid or cannabinoid is a group of compounds that are unique to marijuana and other plants from the Cannabis Genus. The other popular cannabinoid is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). CBD is not euphoric like THC and does not possess any psychoactive qualities. CBD is more likely to provide physical relief than THC because it’s a less volatile compound. THC is what creates the “high” that cannabis users associate with; CBD can support relaxation and calm the mind.

We understand that CBD products may convince you to try them. However, we also know that CBD can be intimidating and unsure of where to begin. These are some tips to help beginners get started with CBD products.

1. Start slow and low.

Because CBD therapy is so individual, there’s no recommended daily dosage of CBD. For the average user, it is recommended to take between 10 and 40 mg per day. To support good sleep, people may need to take between 40 and 60 milligrams. For those with neurological disorders, they may need to take as much as 1,200 mg per day.

Anyone who is trying CBD for the first time should not start with too much. You should not start with more than 1,200 mg per day if you don’t have any experience with CBD. Even 10 mg per day may feel excessive. Begin as low as you can with between 1.25 and 2.5 mg per day, and then increase as necessary. Increase the amount of CBD you take if you feel nothing after a few hours. It will take some time to get used to CBD. You’ll need to gradually increase the amount.

2. Consider different delivery methods.

Although smoking is the most well-known way to get CBD, there are many other delivery options, such as edibles, pills and topical creams and lotions, oils, and tinctures.

For beginners, edible and pills are the easiest. However, it is important to know that CBD has a low bioavailability. This means that only a small amount of CBD will survive your digestive system, and make it into your bloodstream. Experts estimate that as much as 60% of CBD may be lost during digestion. Because edibles must go through all stages of digestion before they can be released into your body, they take longer to get the effects. Expect to feel the effects within 2 hours.

Vape oils are a great and simple option for beginners. CBD oil is a concentrated form that is applied under the tongue. Because of its high absorbency of blood vessels, this allows for faster delivery. Sublingual oils can deliver results in minutes.

The skin is irritated by creams and lotions that activate endo-cannabinoid cells in your muscles. This provides more targeted relief for joint health and general inflammation.

Although vaping CBD oil or smoking CBD oil is the fastest way to experience its effects, it can be difficult for beginners. It can be hard to gauge the amount of CBD oil you are using by how much you inhale. This is because it doesn’t always work every time. It can be an excellent option for people who are familiar with vaping. Vaping can be a relaxing activity for many. Vaping can also promote calmness and relaxation through soft clouds and deep breaths.

It all depends on what you need to soothe, and how quickly you would like the results. Topical forms are quicker and more effective for localized problems. Although they offer greater relief, internal CBD forms may be more effective but can take longer.
